Our Company's Brief History

AtlanticCigar.com (Atlantic Cigar Company LLC of Pennsylvania) has been run by the Scipioni family, as a retail tobacco business for well over a decade now.  Our first store was established in Tarrytown, NY back in 1996 as a neighborhood tobacco shop named Smoking Cigars LLC, DBA as Main Street Cigars.  Our great selection and top-notch customer service with our knowledge in tobacco lead to our success and growth.  This lead us to open our second store in the busy business district on Atlantic Street in Stamford, CT, named Atlantic Cigar Company.  At this time our customers suggested to us that we offer our expertise and services around the world, by launching our virtual cigar store www.AtlanticCigar.com.  It instantly became a huge success and just at the tail end of the cigar boom.  Despite that, we soon grew out of our space in Tarrytown, NY and Stamford, CT, and decided to move into one larger Location in Elmsford, NY not far from our original location.  Our success continued and our web site www.AtlanticCigar.com continued to grow, adding to this in 2005 we where named “The Best Online & Mail Order Cigar Retailer in the United States, by Cigar Cyclopedia.”  We again out grew our space and needed space for our web based operation.  In 2007 we spun off our retail store from our mail order internet company and moved the operation to tax friendly Pennsylvania, leaving behind Smoking Cigars our retail store in the same location in Elmsford, running solely as a stand alone retail store and cigar lounge, allowing the store to focus strictly on retail, which is now currently being run by a family member.
