We want to crack wise about this cigar coming at you out of nowhere, but the truth is, we've come to expect this type of quality from Gurkha. The Ninja is presented with a simple black band in a straightforward cedar box, but the taste is complex and enjoyable. There’s a baseline earthy coffee taste throughout the entire smoke. Chocolate hints pop in the mouth frequently, while accompanying notes of vanilla can be discerned here and there, usually followed by a toasty caramel flavor. All this pleasure is derived from an expertly-aged blend of Nicaraguan long fillers, a Dominican binder and a toothy Brazilian maduro wrapper.
