Ambos Mundos were created by Tatuaje’s Pete Johnson in 2009 as an affordably priced cigar in the Tatuaje portfolio. The Ambos Mundos uses a slightly lesser grade tobacco than the ultra-premium, high-grade tobacco used in his Tatuaje cigars.
This middle grade tobacco is still of high quality, but usually has a few blemishes like water marks or sun spots. The wrapper for the Ambos Mundos is your choice of either an Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf or an Ecuadorian Habano leaf, which are joined by a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan long fillers. These tobaccos may be a lower grade, but they pack all the taste and body you'd expect from a Nicaraguan cigar created by Pete Johnson and the Garcia family.
Ambos Mundos are mild to medium-bodied and are rolled in the classic Cuban style with a triple-seam cap. Ambos Mundos are acked in 25-count boxes in a handful of sizes ranging from a 5 x 50 Robusto to a 5 ½ x 56 Grande.
