Sencillo Black, from the people behind Prometheus, is a refined cigar made by the Plasencia family that utilizes a bit more Nicaraguan tobacco in the blend. The Plasencia’s are highly respected cigar makers and the largest tobacco grower in Nicaragua, which allowed them to select tobacco from a huge stock when creating this blend. Keith K. Park, owner of Prometheus, was able to sit down and work with the Plasencia's to develop this outstanding blend made up of five different tobaccos.
Handmade in Nicaragua, the Sencillo Black consists of fillers grown in Nicaragua and Honduras, including Ligero Habano Jalapa seed grown in Nicaragua, as well as Viso San Andres tobacco grown in Mexico. The fillers are held together by a Habano binder grown in Nicaragua and finished with a Habano Colorado wrapper, giving this five tobacco blend a consistent, yet complex flavor.
The first release of 5,000 cigars was released in five sizes (1,000) cigars per size.
