This addition to the Hoyo de Monterrey family of cigars is an example of what happens when a maestro of the roll is given free rein in tobacco selection. Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican filler and a Connecticut-seed Broadleaf binder are selected by Estello Padron and rolled together in the dark, hand-selected wrapper that give the stick its name. The Ecuadoran sun-grown Sumatra-seed leaves are selected for their extraordinary color and texture, then aged in special bales called tercios. The result is one of the finest tasting cigars around.
