The Commodore is a premium cigar that was created to be sold in the European market, but due to trademark issues the brand was temporally scratched, leaving the cigars ready for sale. The manufacturer, who asked us to keep them anonymous, was convinced to clear out what they had packaged in boxes from their Nicaraguan factory. We came across this cigar while on a trip in Nicaragua and liked the blend, so what we did is do what we do best, we made them an offer to take them all at an incredible price, especially for this quality Nicaraguan made cigar.
The line comes in two blends, an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper or an Ecuadorian Connecticut, both with Nicaraguan fillers and binder. The Habano is a solid tasty smoke, nice tobacco flavors with a solid medium body that’s smooth and enjoyable with a hint of spice and sweetness on the finish. The Connecticut is creamy smoke with a pleasant woody flavor with a little less spice. Both are extremely well made, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this blend out soon under a different name selling for three times this amount. The Commodore is a perfect summer smoke, affordable enough to smoke anytime of the day doing those weekend chores or kicking pool side. The only downside is once they are gone I don’t think we will be able to get our hands on more for this price.
