The folks at Alec Bradley built the Prensado line by first choosing the wrapper, a special Corojo 2006 from the Trojes region in Honduras. After fermenting and aging, the blend was tweaked for 6 months before reaching finality with a Nicaraguan binder and a mix of Nicaraguan and Honduran long filler tobaccos. Rolled at the superb Raices Cubanas factory in Danli, Honduras, the Prensado is perfectly constructed and has a natural strength and flavor with an underlying sweetness that tingles the palate. This complex smoke has a great look to it, box-pressed and reddish brown with a wonderful artwork on the band, an Alec Bradley tradition. These many components came together to earn the Alec Bradley Prensado an almost unprecedented 96 rating from Cigar Aficionado and the top spot on Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 Cigars of 2011. A modern classic, these are some of the best cigars being made today.
