The Partagas 1845 Heritage adds another chapter to one of the most storied cigar brands in the world. To rebrand this historic cigar, General Cigar reportedly went through 50 different blends before finding the perfect one. They also redesigned the iconic yellow Partagas boxes and introduced the use of wooden boxes with transparent slide top lids.
To create this special blend, General Cigar went on a search for some of the highest quality tobaccos from the world's top growers. That search started with the dark and oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper grown by the Oliva Tobacco Co. The binder is a Connecticut Habano and the long fillers are a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan ligero and seco tobaccos, which bring plenty of flavor, balance and an even burn. The finished product is a very balanced, medium-bodied smoke with plenty of sweetness and some earthy nuttiness with a very tasty finish.
