The Flores Y Rodriguez cigars by PDR Cigar Company is a 2012 small batch release by boutique blender Abraham Flores produced in his new factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic. This is the second new release along with the PDR Small Batch Cubra coming out of the new factory. The Flores Y Rodriguez cigar brand is a Dominican “Puro”, made entirely of a specially selected Dominican Habano Vuelta Abajo blend. The line is available in two wrappers, Habano and a Habano Maduro. The look and feel screams out Cuban style from the non cello, cigar bands and the construction of this fine cigar. The Habano is wonderfully balanced and complex, producing a great combination of wood, leathery and some mild spice flavors. The Habano Maduro Wrapper is a medium to full bodied smoke that continues to deliver similar complex flavors, with a bit more strength and richness. The Maduro starts out with a good amount of pepper and good amounts of dried fruit with hints of sweetness. Both lines are packaged in cabinet style boxes of 24 cigars.
