The Pinar Del Rio ‘PDR’ 1878 Reserva Dominicana Oscuro, another full bodied small production blend released by Abraham Florez and his boutique cigar factory in the Dominican Republic. Proving once again that Pinar Del Rio is not, The Kingsmen’s “Louie Louie” one hit wonder. Rather they have been creating some top-notch smokes enjoyed by many cigar aficionados. The Reserva Dominicana Oscuro is another notch in their belt, loaded with spice and very well made with thick loads of smoke. The last year or so Abe Florez has devoted much of his time at his factory carefully watching over production of his blends, and it shows. This blend is made using a Habano seed binder, blended with Corojo, Habano & Criollo fillers all grown in the Dominican Republic. The cigar is then finished with a beautiful dark Habano Oscuro wrapper also from the Dominican Republic, the result a complex smoke with tons of flavor.
