This firm well-made cigar may be short in length but it is anything but short on taste and quality. The Nub series are designed and hand rolled to produce cigars that find the traditional “sweet spot” and stay there from first spark to last puff. The large ring gauge can be a pleasurable challenge the first time out, but the excellence that goes into making these cigars soon asserts itself as the paramount feature. The Nub Connecticut is made with Nicaraguan binder and filler in an Ecuadoran grown Connecticut wrapper with a visibly oily sheen. There’s a hint of morning toast when you first light up, followed by a complex series of tastes that come and go smoothly – woodiness and spice. It burns great. It tastes great.
