The Merlion cigar is a follow up to the La Sirena cigar line, but now blended by Guillermo Leon of La Aurora Cigar Company. The Mermaid from La Sirena meets the Lion of La Aurora hence the name “Merlion.” The result is a solid medium bodied cigar with a unique blend of aged tobaccos. The Merlion blend consists of six types of tobacco which leads to it complex flavor profile. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Corojo that encases a Brazilian Sumatra binder with long-filler Dominican Corojo, Dominican Criollo 98’, Nicaraguan ligero, and the final part of this interested recipe Brazilian Mata Fina tobacco. The blend delivers a steady medium bodied flavor that steadily deepens to a full smoke with each puff. Noticeable hints of pepper, wood with a natural pleasant sweetness with a long toasty finish.
