LA GALERA CONNECTICUT CIGARS
Jochy Palma for some may be a new name in the cigar biz, but Jochy has been around for some time now and has been making and growing tobacco for decades, and continues to run the family business Tabacalera Palma, that was established in 1936.
Some of the leading brands in the industry utilizes Jochy’s tobaccos grown on his Dominican farms; and some of the finest farms in the Dominican. Brands like La Flor Dominicana, Aging Room are just a few in his long portfolio. Most of what Jochy produced was sold to the European market, that is until now. La Galera is his signature line, and for the first time introduced to the U.S. market.
The La Galera Connecticut is a mild to mild-medium cigar that is extremely well made and comes in at a great price point. The entire cigar is made from tobacco Jochy Blanco grows on his farms with the exception of the wrapper. The cigar is comprised of an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with Dominican binder and filler included a special varietal grown by Blanco called T-112.
The La Galera Connecticut blend delivers notes of cedar wood, cherry with a hint of citrus & black pepper, with a creamy finish. What truly stands out with this cigar is the construction and price point, excellent draw, razor sharp burn and stays cool to the touch down to the nub. If you like mild to medium Connecticut style cigars then this brand is a must try, you will enjoy these smokes and so will your bank account.
