L’Atelier Extension De La Racine (Extension of the Root) is a limited release cigar from the guys at L’Atelier Imports. L'Atelier Imports is a collaboration between Tatuaje's founder, Pete Johnson, and his friends K.C. Johnson, Sean Johnson and Dan Welsh, created in order for Johnson to produce new cigars without crowding his popular Tatuaje portfolio.
The Extension de la Racine is available in only one size for 2013, a 5 7/8 x 52 Toro, with a different size expected each following year and is rolled at the famed My Father Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. This all-Nicaraguan puro comes wrapped in a Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper and aged Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos, but the gem in this blend is the "Sancti Spiritus" binder. Sancti Spiritus is a rare hybrid tobacco created by the Oliva family from Criollo and Pelo de Oro tobaccos. The Extension de la Racine is a full flavored cigar that’s medium to full in strength with tons of great and rich Nicaraguan flavors. The L’Atelier Extension de la Racine is already a tough find due to its quality and excellent reception. The L'Atelier Extension de la Racine is available in 20-count boxes.
