THE CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE CIGARS
The Civil Disobedience is a new release for 2016 from the usual suspects Moya & Ruiz and made at Erik Espinosa’s La Zona Cigar Factory in Nicaragua. The Civil Disobedience was first created to be an event only cigars and is now available as a regular release. The idea behind the name was the current state the cigar industry is in with regards to regulation. MoyaRuiz felt it was their duty to release a cigar that bares this name. Henry David Thoreau’s image was chosen because of his essay on civil disobedience which influenced the political thoughts and actions of such figures as Tolstoy, Gandhi, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Currently the Civil Disobedience is being released in only one size; a 5x50 Robusto. The blend is an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The cigar will be sold in a 10-count soft packs. This special release is our response to the FDA regulations of the cigar industry, and a portion of the proceeds of Civil Disobedience sales will be donated to the Cigar Rights of America to help with this fight!
