Los Hermanos Maduro Cigar Review
Wrapper: San Andres
Size: Toro, 6 x 52
Factory: Raices Cubanas
Los Hermanos, which translates to "The Brothers," is an Atlantic Cigar exclusive cigar, a "house brand," if you will. It is a boutique cigar made by Casa Fernandez and Tropical Tobacco, made with tobacco from their Aganorsa farm. It is blended by Arsenio Ramos and made at Raices Cubanas, which makes Alec Bradley, Illusione and Viaje cigars, among others. Los Hermanos' maduro blend is composed of first generation Corojo '99 and Criollo '98 seeds wrapped in a dark San Andres leaf. The cigar is rolled with a perfect triple-seam cap. Quantity for this cigar varies year-by-year depending on the availability of the tobacco used.
The toro started off with good spice on the light. There were a mix of flavors including cinnamon and dried cherries with some cocoa. Black pepper lingered on the palate. Once the cigar warmed up, some leather and earth developed. The spice receded a bit towards the end, creating a smooth, complex finish.
Estimated smoking time: 1 to 1 1/2 hours
