Avo Uvezian and Henkie Kellner the two masters behind this great cigar brand. Avo is composer par excellence; Henkie is a tobacco man’s tobacco man. Avo had the vision of a cigar that would delight the palate with the subtle nuances of a perfectly harmonious blending of flavors. Henkie, an admitted “taste fanatic,” provided the cigar-making know how. He has a map in his blending room of the region where his tobacco is grown and describes soil chemistry and weather information. He uses this information to optimize the use of each farm’s tobacco, creating the blend giving AVO cigars their unmistakable, creamy smoothness. In cigar-making, as in most pursuits, there’s no substitute for doing your homework and that’s what he and Avo do.

Avo Classic Cigars

Avo Uvezian took his first step into the cigar world, and to legendary status, with his Classic Series. Mild yet flavorful, the Classic Series is the foundation on which Avo built his family of cigars. Careful Blending of five different tobaccos resulted in a rich flavor, mild body and a delightfully aromatic cigar. Only long Havana seed filler and binders, blended with Dominican leaves are used, giving AVO Classic cigars their special aroma and mellow flavor.

Avo XO Cigars

AVO XO (the label XO from the Cognac industry, means extraordinary). The blend for these cigars is made up of selected Dominican filler tobaccos aged until fully mature. This blend includes a large portion of specially fermented Piloto Cubano tobaccos. The binder leaf is the best Olor tobacco grown in the Villa Gonzalez region. The Connecticut wrapper leaf provides the finishing touch. The AVO XO Series is in the middle of the spectrum of strength and aroma.

With names that recalls musical terminology, this blend is like a complex orchestration of flavor for your pallette. Introduced in the early 90's, these cigars feature a Connecticut Shade wrapper around a Dominican Havana-seed binder. 6 different Dominican tobaccos blended perfectly together make up the complex filler.

With the help of Hendrick Kellner at the famous Tabadom Factory in the Dominican Republic this addition became a reality. This factory is known for making the worlds most famous cigars including Davidoff and Cusano. Tabadom also employs the most qualified rollers in the Dominican, which gives this cigar an effortless draw and perfect burn time and time again.

The AVO Domain draws its robust flavor from the Connecticut seed, Ecuadorian sun grown wrapper. These wrappers receive the perfect amount of annual sunlight each year to bring out the best quality in the leaf. When this wrapper is combined with premium Dominican fillers, the result is a medium to full bodied cigar that has a blissful aroma. If you enjoy the original AVO line but are looking for something stronger, this is the cigar for you.

Avo Maduro Cigars

The AVO Maduro Series, the Maduro version of the AVO Classic Series, offers the AVO Smoker the same rich, smooth flavor found in the Classic, but with the added intensity of the Connecticut Broadleaf maduro Wrapper. The wrapper is aged for three years, naturally fermented for three months, then fermented a second time, producing its deep, rich hue. Premium San Vincente and Olor tobacco filler leaves, carefully matured for four years, produce a taste that completes the cigar with no hint of the bitterness sometimes found in a Maduro.
