Overview

Saint Luis Rey Natural Broadleaf Cigars
The Saint Luis Rey Natural Broadleaf is a new addition to the popular Saint Luis Rey line and was first introduced at the 2017 IPCPR cigar trade show. The blend features a natural Connecticut broadleaf wrapper that's sun grown and undergoes a natural slow fermentation process. The binder features a Nicaraguan Criollo ’98 binder along with a core of all Honduran filer tobaccos. The result is a bold full-bodied cigar robust in flavor and well-constructed with a little more focus on spice than sweetness that you'll normal get from Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers. The Saint Luis Rey Natural Broadleaf cigars are available in three sizes and come packed in 25-count boxes are made at the Flor de Copan factory in Honduras. Good stick - some burn unevenly
Written by Tom Acklam on Apr 23rd 2024

This is the 3rd time I've purchased boxes of these, so that shows that I like them. The last few sticks have burned unevenly and or unwrapped prior to finishing. Not sure if the last batch had poor quality control.

Saint Luis Rey Natural Broadleaf Churchill

I picked up some 5 packs of these off promotion from Atlantic Cigar. Delivered, they were under 2 bucks a stick. So far, I have had 1 churchill. It was well worth the money. The first few puffs were very very dry and harsh.. But after a few it turned out to be a very good cigar. It smoked all the way down and burned even all the way. I tend to smoke while working on the farm, so often my cigars get put down and go out. I do not spend a lot of money per stick as it would just be a waste. If the rest of the batch smoke as good as the first one , I have a great compromise. It is a good smoke for when I can sit and enjoy and inexpensive enough that I can not fell bad if smoke while working outside.
