The CAO OSA Sol cigar, released at the 2011 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas, is the first release produced since the purchase of CAO by General Cigar Co. (Swedish Match). The cigar bears the name of the region in which the wrapper is from, Olancho San Agustin river valley is known for it rich soil, and in 2008 this area had an outstanding growing year. The harvest produced an amazing yield of wrapper tobacco loaded with oils & packed with flavor. Added to this great wrapper tobacco are aged filler tobacco from both Nicaragua and Honduras which balance out the blend while providing additional flavor. But the CAO OSA Sol doesn’t end here, these fillers are then held together by a rich hearty Connecticut Broadleaf binder, giving some mouth coating goodness to the cigar. If you are a fan of CAO cigars then this cigar maybe your next best friend, as the collaboration between the merged companies shines through in this cigar.
