In today's cigar market "boutique" is the word, and Maurice Antonius Koks and his newest creation Antonius, are boutique times 2. This up and coming cigar-maker/blender owns and operates a small, boutique factory in the Dominican Republic. His focus has been small controlled production, where quality over quantity is the philosophy. Coming from a Dutch tobacco background, this cigar is in honor of Maurice's grandfather Antonius Toontje Koks, a once local boutique cigar manufacturer in Holland. The band represents the flag of his hometown in Hertogenbosch, Holland. The second image is of the monument in the center of Santiago, Dominican Republic his new hometown and where Antonius is made. Antonius is a medium-Full to Full-bodied cigar handcrafted using oily Cuban-seed Ecuadorian wrappers and a peppery spicy blend of aged Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers. The flavors are rich and complex with notes of spice, with hints of earth and leather, followed by hints of sweetness. Available in three sizes, these cigars come packaged in cedar boxes of 20. If you are a full-bodied smoker Antonius is very affordable cigar that will provide you with wonderful enjoyment.
